How To Curl My Long Hair?

        curl hair

Curling your long hair using a curling iron is a great way to get voluminous, bouncy curls. But for some it's a more difficult thing to do, so let Beaver take it step by step with you to achieve beautiful curls:

        1. Prepare Your Hair

Wash and Condition: Start by washing your hair with a keratin shampoo and conditioner to ensure it’s clean and hydrated, then use the hair mask, hair serum or hair oil to get your hair preventing heat damage.

Towel Dry and Detangle: Gently towel dry your hair to remove excess moisture and then detangle with a wide-tooth comb or your fingers.

        2. Section Your Hair

Divide Hair into Sections: Use clips to divide your hair into 3-4 sections (depending on your hair thickness). Work with the lower sections first, leaving the top sections clipped up.

Start from the Bottom: It’s easier to curl smaller sections from the bottom and work your way up.

        3. Choose the Right Curling Iron Tube Size

For loose waves, choose a larger barrel (1–1.5 inches).

For tighter curls, go with a smaller barrel (3/4 inch to 1 inch).

        4. Curling Your Hair

Heat the Curling Tube: Turn on your curling iron and set it to medium heat (around 300–350°F). For fine hair, use lower heat; for thicker hair, use a higher heat setting.

Wrap a Section Around the Barrel: Take a 1-inch section of hair, and wrap it around the curling tube, starting from the base of the hair shaft. Hold the hair on the tube for about 5–10 seconds (depending on your desired curl tightness).

For Loose Waves: Wrap the hair loosely around the barrel and leave the ends out for a more relaxed, beachy look.

For Tighter Curls: Wrap the hair tightly around the barrel and hold it for a little longer.

Release the Curl: Gently slide the curl off the barrel and hold the curl in your hand for a few seconds to cool it down and set the shape.

        5. Repeat for All Sections

Continue curling each section of hair, working your way up to the top layers. Alternate the direction of the curls (towards or away from your face) for a more natural, voluminous look.

        6. Loosen the Curls

Once all sections are curled and set, run your fingers or a wide-tooth comb through the curls to break them up for a more natural, tousled look.

If you want more volume, gently tease the roots with a fine-tooth comb or use a dry shampoo for texture.

        7. Set the Style

Use Hair Spray: Finish with hair pomade or sea salt spray to hold hairspray and ensure your curls last all day.

Avoid Touching Too Much: The more you touch your curls, the looser they get. Let them cool down completely before styling.
